Parks Motor Group Cheers on FNR Scholar Athlete at Newberry High School

There’s a special energy that comes with high school football—the crisp autumn air, the roar of the crowd under the stadium lights, and the shared sense of community pride. In the Gainesville area, Friday nights represent more than just a game; they are a celebration of local tradition, dedication, and the bright future of our next generation of leaders. That’s why Ford of Gainesville & Parks Motor Group is proud to help close out the season by sponsoring the final Friday Night Rivals (FNR) Scholar Athlete scholarship presentation at Newberry High School on October 31st.

As the Newberry Panthers take on the Trinity Catholic Celtics in a thrilling rivalry game, we are excited to honor the students who demonstrate excellence both on the gridiron and in their studies. This event celebrates the perseverance, hard work, and strong character that defines our local youth, and we are honored to be a part of their journey.

This is what community is all about—rallying behind our hometown teams and sharing in the excitement of a classic gridiron battle.

For the team at Ford of Gainesville, participating in these community moments is a true privilege. We believe local businesses have a duty to support the communities they serve, and there’s no better place for that than under the Friday night lights, side-by-side with the people who make this region a wonderful place to call home.

More Than a Game: Recognizing North Central Florida’s Future Leaders

While the on-field action is always exciting, the FNR Scholar Athlete program, presented by Parks Motor Group, shines a light on a different kind of achievement. This award is given to student-athletes who show outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and a deep commitment to their community. These are the young individuals who balance demanding practice schedules with high GPAs and still find time to volunteer, representing the very best of their schools.

By funding this scholarship, Parks Motor Group is investing in the futures of these remarkable students, empowering them to chase their dreams in college and beyond. It is our way of acknowledging their dedication and the powerful example they set for others. Their success is a victory for our entire community.
